The KingDom(더킹덤)
Special Album : the flower of the moon
The KingDom's first special album, following their unique worldview as the first 4th generation idol to rank #1 on the US Amazon Music charts in 5 countries and consistently in the top 10 of Billboard's "World Digital Song Sales" for three consecutive times, features "Hwamolga," a fantastic blend of Miryang Arirang and K-POP, as its title track. It also includes "Festival," created by leader Dann, and "Forget," composed by Mujin with lyrics written by the members themselves expressing what they want to say.
The title track "Hwamolga" is a confidently presented Korean traditional music (Gugak) sound piece that can be offered to the world. It is a Korean-style K-POP track where the traditional instruments such as Gayageum, Daegeum, Kkwaenggwari, and Haegeum, along with an orchestra and The KingDom's voices, create a magnificently spreading harmony.
The B-side track "Festival" is a funky, driving song with a cheerful rhythm and lyrics that are pleasant to listen to.
Additionally, "Forget," written by member Mujin, is a tribute song to fans, in which the members wrote their own parts to convey their messages through song.
The final track, "Hwamolga" (INST), allows listeners to appreciate the beauty of Korean traditional instruments in an instrumental version.
This special album by The KingDom temporarily steps away from the worldview they've built across eight albums over the past four years, instead encompassing the stories they truly wish to tell.
