ARTMS <Club Icarus>
Anyone living in a modern metropolis hides a wound in one corner of their heart. Beneath the elaborately stacked forest of buildings with brilliant lights, there are those who live hiding in the shadows. They gather at their own secret virtual club <Club Icarus> and pour out their stories.
That's why the title of the intro song is 'Club for the Broken'. It was named as a club for the wounded.
The title track 'Icarus' contains the hope that new flesh will sprout for those who have been hurt, like the myth of Icarus, and that new hope will sprout on top of that wound. The rhythm and melody that are gradually built up within the elaborately repeating piano line declare that ARTMS is the most aesthetic group in K-POP.
In particular, the music video with Digipedi maximizes artistry by incorporating modern dance and completes it through the members' perfect synchronization.
'Obsessed' sings about obsession, one of the modern diseases that urbanites live with. It deals with the current era in which stress is constantly resolved through food, consumption, or obsession with the other person. However, the expression captured in the music is not edgy or stinging, but only beautiful. As if obsession, which may be a disease for some, is actually a beautiful instinct.
'Goddess' is the most unpredictable track in <Club Icarus>. The genre is Hyper Pop. And all expressions are refined in English. A hook that is more empty than filled. Aren't these extreme and vacuum-like expressions the very image of us living in 2025?
'Verified Beauty' was a song that ARTMS had been preparing since their first contract with Modhaus. The moment the five girls took a step into a bigger world, the young girls became women with independent beauty.
The last track, 'Burn', was pre-released as OMA and contains the present of ARTMS, completed from LOONA. Six years of waiting. And now, they burn everything and spread new wings.
Hoping that the loneliness, solitude, and wounds of those living in the city can be comforted by <Club Icarus>.
