Korea's top soul diva, BMK, has released her 4th full-length album, 16 years after her 3rd album. This album also marks BMK's 20th debut anniversary, and mad soul child, who produced BMK's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd albums, participated in the overall production of this 4th album, lending their strength.
BMK's latest album is a candid reflection of her musical identity and life experiences, filled with songs that showcase her emotions and vocal skills. The album contains a total of 12 tracks (including 3 instrumental tracks), with the title track being 'Goodbye Only Longing.' 'Goodbye Only Longing' was written and composed by star composer Lee Seung-hwan, who also composed the title track 'Mayfly' for her 3rd album, marking another collaboration. 'Goodbye Only Longing' is a poignant song that expresses the indelible pain of a difficult and sorrowful farewell with a loved one, pleading to at least say goodbye to the longing itself.
Furthermore, BMK experimented with various music genres in this album. She pre-released the hip-hop track 'LIFE GOES ON' with reggae rapper 'Reggae Gang Ga-eun Peace' on October 30th. She also collaborated with composers Ryu Young-min and Ahn Dong-myung, and BMK herself participated in the lyrics for 'GRAVITY,' a song inspired by her feelings and emotions while freediving in the waters off Jeju.
