RAVITY The 2nd Album [Dare to Crave]

Since their debut in 2020, CRAVITY, who have proven steady growth and perfection with solid performance and teamwork, depicts the inner selves of boys facing longing between escape and confrontation with their 2nd full album 'Dare to Crave'. CRAVITY has proven themselves so far. Performance, teamwork, achievement, and narrative. Now they are at the stage of taking out the voice beyond that shell. This album is a decisive chapter in which CRAVITY faces their own inner selves and sings about the longing that blooms from there.

A moment in the name of longing, and their real story

Anxiety, avoidance, and courageously expressed desire. There are times when you don't even know what you want. However, what is clear is that there is a timing to take out any feelings rather than suppressing them. CRAVITY's second full album 'Dare to Crave' talks about that timing. The meaning implied in CRAVITY's new team name is 'Crave' and 'Gravity'. The message is that the force that pulls each other like gravity, and the longing that sprouts within it, ultimately makes who I am now. Movement instead of the word longing, movement instead of the word impulse. It is a record of CRAVITY that captures that moment, the most CRAVITY-like now.

SET, NET, G0?! The instinctive start of youth

The title track 'SET NET G0?!' is another leap forward placed on the extension of previous works. The development is fast and linear. The bass and synth sounds, and the drop resemble the emotional curves in the repeated confusion. With my own rhythm, at my own pace. This song speaks of an attitude of 'not stopping' rather than saying 'I will achieve' something. It is also a sensual declaration of those who willingly chose to run between hesitation and intuition. A moment when you don't know where you're going, but you want to move rather than stay still. 'SET NET G0?!' is a track that pushes you to run without hesitation.

Self-portraits of the members, a narrative completed with self-composed songs

This album contains our words, not mine. All 9 members participated in writing the lyrics, and some even took on composing. For the first time in CRAVITY, a unit composition was introduced, and the 3 unit songs depict unique inner selves under the guise of 'the same team'. 'Rendez-vous', produced by Woobin, carefully depicts a meeting that awakens blurred senses, 'Marionette', Serim's first self-composed song, depicts the density and direction of relationships, and 'Wish Upon A Star', composed by Wonjin, depicts a promise at the end of waiting. Each song has a different color, and the texture of the words is different. And the album proves that the differences can be tied together. This is a new expansion in the sense of a combination of a team and individual artists.

The music video is set in a desolate world in the near future, and tells the story of boys living in a loop-like repeated time. As unfamiliar cracks and emotional tremors spread in the repeated daily life, it lyrically captures the 'moment of unstoppable attraction' that CRAVITY faces.

A period of proof, and a moment of expansion

CRAVITY has left meaningful footprints in a short period of time since their debut. They swept the rookie awards at the same time as their debut, and won the final victory in 'Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE', etc. Now it's not proof, it's development. 'Dare to Crave' is a milestone placed on that achievement. With solid teamwork, mature narrative, and the flow of emotions written by themselves intertwined, CRAVITY is now evolving from 'growing idols' to 'meaningful teams'. Now is the timing for 'leap'.

A new me faced at the end of longing

'Dare to Crave' is a struggle not to ignore oneself, and an album that brings out the complex emotions of the inner self as they are. It does not forcibly tie together a bundle of complex emotions. Anxiety, impulse, avoidance, excitement, tension. It shows all those emotions without hiding them, as they are. So it's more vivid and honest. Courage to move forward even in confusion, an attitude to crack the repeated day, and the name of youth who dare to dream. That longing is as strong as gravity. Now CRAVITY is ready to fly following that power.
