Debts have increased again... but this time, we'll pay them back with a full album.
“Really indebted guys have appeared. These kids who grew up listening to British hard rock, Sanullim, Sex Pistols, Green Day, Crying Nut, and Jang Kiha have boldly taken out loans from all those musical accounts, creating a hybrid that is fitting for the 21st century MZ generation, the YouTube generation. You could call this true 'Young-Ggeul Rock.' They rolled their frustrations and despair in a batter of humor and fried them into sarcasm. Can the debtors really pay off their debts? Or will they become credit delinquents? Can their 'Young-Ggeul Rock' become the anthem of the 'Young-Ggeul Generation'? It depends on the clicks of their peers, so they're nervous. It's the Young-Ggeul Rock of debtors who are nervous and running wildly.”
- Sung Kiwan (poet, musician, member of the band Tteu Re Bond Bond)
A year and a half has passed since the release of their first EP. At one point, releasing a full album seemed like a goal, but now it has become a starting point. The debtors expressed that they are once again indebted to the people who have been waiting for them.
All four songs from the EP [Default] were re-recorded and included in the full album. This is because many things have changed since then, from their feelings about the songs to the instruments they play. There was no disagreement about the re-recording. It's like the debtors' common saying, 'Let's do it right this time.' However, the democratic principle of everyone participating in the lyrics, composition, and post-production of the new songs has not changed.
The first full album contains songs that depict the inner self in response to stimuli. It makes you laugh at times and take a deep breath at others, as if watching the struggles of a distant friend.
However, the performance and song progression are far from the theme of 'looking into the inner self.' That's why you can enjoy the taste of the lyrics, the taste of the performance, and the savory taste of the gap between them. It seems intentional, but it's not intentional, and that's just how the debtors' music is.
Meanwhile, the production cost of the full album [Debtors] has increased significantly compared to the EP [Default]. It followed the name again.
[Track Introduction]
1. Love and Peace
Beneath the calm river of love and peace, the fragmented hearts of countless people who have collided with each other sink like sand and stones.
2. The Unlucky Age of Nine (2023)
I don't know if there is a nationwide jinx called the unlucky age of nine in Japan or China, which are close to Korea. Anyway, I've barely passed this unlucky age twice.
3. 5510
One-way traffic can also be love. But only when you can maintain a safe speed and driving distance.
4. Why Me (2023)
A chair is always there no matter where you go. Sometimes you come across a chair that makes you wonder, 'Is it okay to sit here?'
5. Dirty Song (2023)
The way to mourn a finished love is different for everyone. I want to be with everyone who has mourned so fiercely but with so many words.
6. 86 (2023)
I actively agree with the argument that people who are sitting or lying down do so because they are more anxious or restless.
7. Sail
There are also people who can't protect that important sail. Even if they give up the sail with a smile because they can't refuse, their inner thoughts can be quite complicated.
8. We All Bark Like Dogs in Places That Have Passed
What remains in places that have all passed is not just pleasant things. But if there are a few of us left in that place, I think we can bark together coolly.
9. Opponent
When the alcohol rises, the heart seems to widen, but soon the emotions become intense. If you get even more drunk, your heart becomes infinitely narrow for the person who is late. The emotions become even more intense.
