INFINITE <LIKE INFINITE>
- INFINITE, celebrating their 15th anniversary, returns with the numbers 8 and ∞
'∞th Mini Album [LIKE INFINITE]'
- The six men's 'Dangerous', intensely hot even in fleeting moments
《 15th Debut Anniversary, The Infinite Narrative Begins Now 》
Another beginning begets a new one.
Just like their group name, proving their limitless nature, INFINITE's journey of rewriting records is an infinite narrative only they can achieve.
In 2024, the 'Infinite Gathering' held after 7 years, and the 15th-anniversary concert 'LIMITED EDITION' held for three days from December 6th to 8th at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park, once again proved their name, living up to the titles 'Infinite Gathering' and 'Limited Edition'.
At the end of the concert, amid endless encores, the surprise unveiling of 'Can See You (Sad Loop)' with a remark that it would be included in the new album, and a VCR announcing their comeback at the end of the stage, made even the finale feel like a beginning. Then, keeping their promise, 'Can See You (Sad Loop)' was pre-released as a Christmas gift, raising expectations for INFINITE's continuing narrative.
Following this, their '8 = ∞' mini-album [LIKE INFINITE] is finally released, reaching the peak of those expectations.
An album that is INFINITE, feels like INFINITE, and is great because it's INFINITE, [LIKE INFINITE] is hotter than ever, from its irresistible intro to its unyielding instrumentation.
From the endlessly unfolding splendid tracks to melodies perfected by the harmony of the six members, the album's unique color embodying the individual charms of 'Kim Sungkyu, Jang Dongwoo, Nam Woohyun, Lee Sungyeol, L, Lee Sungjong' that have been anticipated since their concert, and the members' vocals and performances that reveal both ease and passion simultaneously, evoke admiration no matter how you look at them, just like the number of this album.
The title track 'Dangerous', heated up by all of this, naturally showcases INFINITE's confidence. Its refreshing feel, layered with rhythmic disco-funk, combined with the sexiness of their previous works, is not just fatal but dangerously captivating.
Furthermore, the meticulously crafted performance, reuniting with choreographer ADDM who has been with them since their debut, reveals a dance style different from their previous works, while subtly delivering a fresh shock through their perfectly synchronized group choreography.
The B-side tracks, carefully selected with meaning in each song, are also reasons why you can't help but love this album.
From the intro 'Heat it Up' which expresses INFINITE's sound becoming more immersive over time, to 'Everything about you is good' which passionately conveys sexiness and composure with delicate emotions, 'Umbrella' which stands out with lyrics reminiscent of pouring rain and INFINITE, 'Can See You (Sad Loop)' created from the sometimes melancholic cries of fans wishing them to 'Come back, come back, come back again' to the stage during encores, and 'Still Beautiful (Where U R)' with sounds that build anticipation for a concert and lyrics depicting a scene of facing each other again after a farewell – all the meticulously filled songs in the album purely showcase INFINITE.
[LIKE INFINITE] is both the 8th and ∞th mini-album in their 15-year narrative.
Every moment is a narrative, and the records of those moments so far only make us anticipate the next even more.
And the fervor for these six men remains as hot as ever.
For such an INFINITE, we have only one choice.
We can't help but love INFINITE, who continue to burn like an unextinguished flame, so let's dive passionately into this album, just like that fervor.
