'K-Pop 4th generation queen' ITZY is releasing a new mini album [CHECKMATE] and title track "SNEAKERS" on July 15th.

ITZY first entered the US Billboard main chart 'Billboard 200' at No. 148 with their 4th mini album [GUESS WHO] and title track 'Mafia In the morning' in April of last year, and ranked No. 99 on the 'Artist 100', which comprehensively aggregates and ranks the artist's performance, achieving the feat of entering two Billboard charts simultaneously. The 1st full album [CRAZY IN LOVE], released in September 2021, climbed 137 steps from the previous work 'GUESS WHO' on the 'Billboard 200' chart dated October 9, entering at 11th place, their own highest score, and also ranked 12th on 'Artist 100', confirming their increasingly hot worldwide popularity.

Continuing the momentum, ITZY's Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna will release their mini album [CHECKMATE] on July 15, about 10 months later, and unleash powerful energy. The title track "SNEAKERS" fills the tastes of Generation Z this summer with the group's unique confidence and energetic melody. It expresses a special determination to move forward freely, following only my heart without paying attention to the eyes of others, and the pleasant message of 'Let's go anywhere together' is compared to sneakers. The reunion with the hit songwriting team Star Wars * (GALACTIKA *), who created ITZY's representative songs such as 'DALLA DALLA', 'WANNABE', and 'LOCO', once again proves the formula for creating hit songs.
