For this album, Zimerman meticulously selected works that showcase the essence of Szymanowski's music. It includes '3 Masks, Op. 34,' recorded in 1994 and released for the first time through this album; 'Mazurka, Op. 50,' which harmonizes Szymanowski's style with traditional Polish folk songs; and 'Variations on a Polish Folk Theme, Op. 10,' imbued with love for Poland.
