-A way to shake the old frame again

For 10 years, MONSTA X has pushed the flow of K-pop, surviving and pioneering the change. From intense performances on stage, consistent experimentation with music and style, to teamwork that has dominated the global scene. MONSTA X, who have always proven themselves without a 'right answer', are taking out a new formula once again through 'THE X'. The title of this mini-album, 'THE X', means a complete and single unknown, presenting numerous possibilities and new directions within it, and at the same time, connected to 'X', which means the number 10, it becomes a symbol that summarizes the journey of the past 10 years. MONSTA X reinterprets that familiar symbol in their own way, shaking the baseline of the K-POP scene once again.

-A new definition of frontal breakthrough 'N the Front'

The title track 'N the Front' is a track that most strongly summarizes MONSTA X's present. Heavy bass, intense drums, and strong vocals and rap are placed at the forefront, instantly penetrating the center of the song. This song goes beyond just a strong sound and contains a declaration that "we become the standard rather than following someone." The attitude of not being trapped in other people's frames and defining the front as themselves is the power that MONSTA X has built over 10 years.

The music video visually expands this message. Unfixed angles, crowds and distances, and movements that disrupt the field of vision strangely shake the concept of the front. Not a force that pushes recklessly, but a strength that places the center of gravity on oneself, 'N the Front' is a signal that most intuitively explains the current MONSTA X.

-This is not a choice, but a declaration...'Do What I Want'

The pre-release song 'Do What I Want', which opened the album, is not just a simple warm-up. Rather, it is closer to a sensuous preface that reveals the sentiment of 'THE X' first. Rather than prioritizing stimulation, this song, which moves forward with refined confidence, is closer to the attitude of "We were like this from the beginning, and we still are" rather than "Believe in me and follow me." All the details are perfected because it is a team with a lot of stage experience. This song is not music that 'tries to look strong', but music that simply flows with 'the naturalness of a strong person'.

-Six gazes, six emotional structures

'THE X' is an album in which six tracks each contain different textures and narratives. But at the same time, they are organically connected as one narrative. 'Savior' unravels the word salvation not as simple comfort but as a sharp emotion. 'Tuscan Leather' is a track with a strong presence in a languid mood, and the beats and sounds inspired by high-end perfumes maximize MONSTA X's restrained sexiness. 'Catch Me Now' calmly and climatically unravels the emotions of love, anxiety, fall, and liberation. The structure that starts softly and sweeps strongly is impressive. 'Fire & Ice' is the end point of dual emotions. Hot and cold, distance and immersion intersect, and it is the closing track that most dramatically shows emotional expression. All of these songs organize and show the spectrum of emotions and the trajectory of growth of the team called MONSTA X within one flow.
