[NOMAD 1st EP ‘NOMAD’]

‘NOMAD’ is a team created under the leadership of leader ‘DOY’, who does self-producing. The team name ‘NOMAD’ is an abbreviation of the phrase ‘Need Our Microphone And Dances’. It also contains the confidence to ‘bring a microphone to dance and enjoy the stage sincerely’ and a confident ambition for the world.

The members of ‘NOMAD’, all in their 20s, create an inner circle with young listeners who spend the same era as them within the big frame of ‘youth’.

The strength, charm, and differentiation point they have is that they create their own music themselves.

Leader ‘DOY’ unraveled a kind of ‘growth’ narrative that he has experienced, not only with the song but also with the track list composition. He has incorporated his personal narratives, such as the first meeting and separation of love that he has experienced directly, as well as the anxiety and worries about the future that he feels as a 20-year-old, with a progressive and challenging mind. This became a ‘huge story’ in a larger form as he met the members and narratives were created. In addition to participating in writing and composing all songs, he also created all the choreography for the title song ‘California love’. He also participated in directing the other title song ‘No pressure’ and the b-side song ‘Lights on’. ‘NOMAD’, led by such a versatile so-called ‘all-rounder’ member, has a consistent, confident, and confident attitude towards the album’s message and the quality of the song itself.

The other four members are all interested in songwriting and performance work, and the new stories they create will be added without separation, and will later become a ‘huge movement’ unique to ‘NOMAD’.

They decided that there is no more effective way to be the speaker who makes and delivers what they are best at by themselves. What genre can express ‘real’ my life? There is only one thing they chose to express the diverse narratives. My story, which borrows a single musical genre of hip hop R&B, and confidence in its essence. This is the original color and identity of ‘NOMAD’.

An individual's experience is acquired as my experience simply by listening to music. ‘NOMAD’ is rewriting the essence of that music in their own way. This is why they can be called ‘artists’, even though they follow the K-POP writing method that combines performance while not deviating from the existing popular music narrative.

Listeners who come into contact with ‘NOMAD’s album will be able to feel both contemporaneity and agency while listening to the music containing ‘NOMAD’s autobiographical message.

No pressure is a song in which leader DOY incorporates the story of working hard with the members for their debut into the lyrics. It contains the message that ‘everything ultimately has a lesson, so even if it is a difficult task, you must endure adversity to become a shining diamond’. Producer ‘Jayrah Gibson’, who crosses over Kpop and Global Pop such as Exo ‘Growl’, Dean ‘I’m not sorry’, BTS ‘My Time’, and Usher and Ty Dolla Sign, participated in the production, and combined a smooth melody with an Urban R&B beat and a traditional R&B and trendy melody line that is not often attempted in Korea to create a Cross over Urban R&B genre song.

‘California Love’ captures the love of the MZ generation, who approach the opposite sex they fell in love with at first sight without hesitation like the intense sun of California. The melodic rap and urban beat combine to create a unique aura, and the vocals on the acoustic guitar and trap beat add character to the song.  Producer ‘Damon Sharpe’, who has mainly worked with superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, and Alesso, participated in the production to increase the completeness.
