SEOLA, the first solo release in 8 years since her debut with WJSN, showing off an unexpected charm with band sound

SEOLA of WJSN makes her solo debut after 8 years. Following her activities with WJSN and the unit WJSN THE BLACK, where she showcased captivating visuals and vocals, SEOLA has consistently broadened her musical spectrum through songwriting and composing, marking her official solo venture. 

Her first solo single, 'INSIDE OUT,' is an album deeply infused with SEOLA's unique sensibility, exploring her perspective on emotions. It candidly unpacks various feelings that are difficult to define with a single explanation, much like how joy and sorrow inevitably coexist. Furthermore, it conveys the message that SEOLA's presence as part of WJSN, as seen until now, and the diverse facets she will showcase as a solo artist, are ultimately 'one.'

The title track 'Without U,' drawn from deep within, concisely showcases SEOLA's new world. It's a band-pop style song that harmonizes emotional acoustic sounds with SEOLA's firm vocals, depicting a resolution to break free from pain and be reborn. Additionally, SEOLA delivers deeper emotional lines through her vocals, expressed with greater musical detail, while also embracing various styles and concepts she hasn't shown before. 

These three tracks, including the title track, focus on SEOLA's new style. While 'Without U' expresses honesty with a very direct narrative, 'Let’s Talk (Loneliness)' calmly sings of deep inner loneliness, as if speaking to someone. 'NO GIRL,' featuring BrotherSu, is a UK garage track that speaks of farewell and longing, powerfully conveying another side of SEOLA's emotions. Furthermore, SEOLA participated in writing lyrics for all tracks, including the title track, and also composed two of the B-side tracks, demonstrating her versatility as a singer-songwriter.
