Song Sohee 1st EP [Aerial Dance]

 

I live choosing endlessly unfolding paths. Wherever I go, the path I take will become my path, so I simply face all paths as if dancing a passionate dance. And I support the loves that greet me on those paths.

 

My first mini-album [Aerial Dance] is a new path within myself that I discovered. It is the path where my voice began and the one I thought most resembled 'nature'. 'Nature' is the background for the four songs in this album.

There are fields, deserts, seas, and forests in time, and within them, I talk about various forms of love.

 

01. Juya Song (Day and Night Song)

Fields,

Even those who have loved each other for a long time often become dull to each other's affection as time passes. On an ordinary day, while walking together in the fields as always, I hope that the fading gratitude and the affectionate times that only we knew will come to mind again when I suddenly look at your face.

 

[This is a quiet 'waltz' style track based on classical piano inspired by Nordic pop. It delivers the melody in a soft voice, and the sound builds up as the combination of dreamy string sections and synthesizers layers in arpeggios.]

 

02. Aerial Dance

Desert,

We who live in the desert.

In this endlessly 펼쳐진 place, we live searching for our own paths. But it seems that the path is not always clear. When I am confused and have doubts like this, I look at the me within myself. The heavy heart is released. I float into the air. I dance a passionate dance for myself as if throwing myself into that red sun. "Ganggangsullae"

 

[This is an ethnic-mood electro-pop track that unravels Korean sentiments with voice and melody lines.]

 

03. Against the Deep Sea

Sea,

Even precious relationships have difficult times. It's like being in the deepest part of the deep sea.

This relationship, which has sunk to the farthest point from the sun, seems to be descending into the dark seabed as if it will no longer reach the sun. But you and I are still breathing life into each other. I want to go back up.

 

[This is an electro-pop sound song where warm harp arpeggios and cold synthesizer pads meet like opposing fire and ice on top of a drum's breakbeat.]

04. Deer God

Forest,

I like the work 'Princess Mononoke'.

The Deer God, whom I like the most in the work, governs life and death, that is, life.

The 'Deer God' that I sing about can be an object, but it is also the deep inner self that exists in everyone. We live searching for life from our respective 'Deer Gods'. To me, life is love.

 

[This is a song that creates a fun but mysterious feeling by combining synthesizers and percussion and adding rhythm with drum sounds. It is a lively electro-pop sound track that provides fun by instantly switching from a calm verse to a rhythmic chorus.]
