An innovative idol group. tripleS has unveiled its 8-member unit, LOVElution.
tripleS, an innovative idol group that forms new teams through fan voting and showcases various formations tailored to concepts, is ready to conquer the summer with its multinational girls, LOVElution.
The code ↀ, revealed through the first teaser, led to the album title <ↀ:MUHAN>, signifying the number 8 for the girls and infinite possibilities. The album also features 8 tracks, completing a unique sound that only tripleS can deliver.
Track 1, ‘ↀ’, begins with ‘Chowol’ (Transcendence), the last track from the album
. The humming from ‘Chowol’ is transformed into a beat, announcing the album's beginning through the voices of Sohyun and Dahyun.
The title track, ‘Girls’ Capitalism’, sings about the realistic thoughts of girls living in a capitalist society. It expresses that while appearance and self-decoration are important, money is essential for them, and they create their own future through independent abilities. With tripleS's signature addictive hook, it grabs attention, and the refreshing lead vocals, centered around a funky guitar sound, maximize the song's impact. It was empowered by the production of EL CAPITXN and Venders, who created ‘Generation’.
In particular, tripleS’s music video, which captured the sentiment of the city of Seoul without adhering to Western sensibilities and received much love from fans, has been further expanded to wittily portray the capitalist concept of “Mad Money Club.”
The coupling track ‘Bokhapseong (Complexity)’ expresses the complex emotional moment when a deeply desired love begins but quickly fades, all set to 21st-century New Jack Swing music.
‘Black Soul Dress’ is a Future Bass track produced by tripleS member Sohyun. Sohyun’s talent, which became known as a producer since joining tripleS, is further showcased in ‘Black Soul Dress’. Through the code of a black soul dress, the song captures the process of finding one's true self without caring about others' gazes.
‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’ and ‘Cry Baby’ are two songs with contrasting emotions. ‘Cry Baby’ features an upbeat rhythm and a catchy melody, offering comfort in current difficulties through the hope that today's tears will illuminate tomorrow. However, ‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’ sings about the lonely emotions of young girls living in Seoul. If music like ‘Cry Baby’ offers an escape from reality through excessive hope and brightness, ‘Seoul Sonyo Sound’ illuminates a small light blossoming amidst loneliness and despair.
‘Speed Love’ expresses the desire to fall in love without hesitation, racing forward over the Liquid DnB genre.
The album's closing track, ‘Number 8’, is completed with the most Korean instruments such as gayageum and traditional drums, alongside the mystical voices of Seoyeon and Kaede. It embodies the ambition to approach a new future through the roots of K-POP within the world.
On August 17, 2023, with tripleS LOVElution, and on October 4, 2023, with tripleS EVOLution, the girls who will become a new chapter in history are ready.
