** Album Introduction **
XLOV 1ST EP ALBUM ‘UXLXVE‘
With their first mini-album 'UXLXVE', XLOV aims to redefine negative thoughts, emotions, and the stereotypes of various expressions connected to them, with XLOV's unique message.
They have taken the original word “UNLOVE” and, continuing the clever wordplay format they’ve maintained since their debut, replaced the ‘N’ and ‘O’ parts with an ‘X’. This emphasizes the meaning of 'double negation', suggesting the possibility of negativity turning into positivity, much like how a negative number multiplied by a negative number becomes positive. They aim to convey that 'we don't always need to suppress our NOs,' 'thoughts or feelings that come as negative have the right to be expressed as they are,' and by meeting like-minded individuals, 'everything can ultimately lead to a positive outcome or the right answer.'
XLOV's bold challenge is once again truly embodied in this album. Diverse thoughts, akin to the hearts of all beings constantly grappling with various emotions, are expressed through colorful genres and stories. XLOV's steadfast refusal to be confined to a single genre, and their identity of 'freedom,' are conveyed through various musical genres and styles. With the aspiration that 'we are, as we are, a genre unto ourselves,' this album, together with the unique producing of leader and producer 'Woomuti,' aims to take steps closer to the public and their fandom EVOL.
The album features the main title track 'Rizz,' a hip-hop R&B track based on 808 trap sounds, followed by the sub-title 'Biii:-p,' created with powerful bass and expansive synths combining hyperpop elements. Then comes 'Scent,' an R&B number that adds a spoonful of sexiness to a sticky, dense track; 'Dirty Baby,' which expresses a voice for personal freedom over a sexy and dreamy groove in the Trap R&B genre; XLOV's ballad 'kiss and say goodbye,' portraying a mature farewell with dreamy yet beautiful piano sounds and melodies; and finally, the last track 'Drip Drip,' a blend of exciting UK garage drum rhythms and contrasting calm acoustic guitar. Among these, the main title 'Rizz,' sub-title 'Biii:-p,' and the first ballad 'kiss and say goodbye' showcase Woomuti's lyrics creating overall harmony and artistic sensibilities.
