Bruce Liu, a Chinese-Canadian born in France, filled this studio debut album with French works. Through the keyboard music of Jean-Philippe Rameau, Maurice Ravel, and Charles-Valentin Alkan, he illuminates the development of French music from the 18th century to the early 20th century.
Ravel's 'Miroirs', which stands out with Bruce Liu's unique sensitive touch, Rameau's works recorded based on research with harpsichord players, and Alkan's works that are rarely encountered add richness.
