All DAY6 members - Sungjin, Young K, and Dowoon, with Wonpil being the last - completed their military service in the winter of 2023. During the members' hiatus, the title track 'You Were Beautiful' from their album 'Every DAY6 February', released in February 2017, and the title track 'Time of Our Life' from their 5th mini-album 'The Book of Us : Gravity', released in July 2019, both achieved a double chart re-entry, gathering significant attention towards DAY6's comeback.
