EPEX 1st Album Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days

EPEX is making a comeback with their first full-length album [Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days]. 

In 2024, EPEX, who had 7 out of 8 members as minors at the time of their debut in June 2021, will have all members as adults. If they expressed the anxiety and beginning of love of boys through their previous 6 mini-albums, including their debut album, they are now singing about youth in the midst of youth. 

The first full-length album [Youth Chapter 1: Youth Days] is the first album in EPEX's youth trilogy full-length album series. Youth Days, the first story of the Youth series, which means the bright scenery of spring and young days, is full of songs that are warm like spring but sometimes terribly realistic and honest, about the worries, dreams, and love of the youth of our time in their most brilliant days.

The stories they want to tell to the youth as youth, the social problems they face, the worries they have because they are youth, and even their purest love stories are also the stories of EPEX, who are standing right in the middle of youth.

1. KILLSHOT

<KILLSHOT> is a song with a strong message to eliminate everything that oppresses me from becoming completely myself at once, and it is a hybrid rock song with rough distortion guitar sounds and groovy basslines.

2. Breathe in Love 

<Breathe in Love>, which contains the most youthful love story, is a song that expresses the pure feeling of love that cannot be controlled to the point of not being able to breathe due to love without hiding. The dreamy synth announces the beginning of the song, and the bright and energetic drum beat and bassline, and EPEX's unique chanting melody are added to make it an impressive song, and the unforgettable addictive chorus melody penetrates the heart.

The title song <To Youth> is a 'youth song' that contains the stories that they want to tell to other youths as youths, not anyone else. The realistic and relatable lyrics are impressive, and the unique sensibility of EPEX is maximized. The part where the EPEX members and 20 mixed-gender choirs of the same age harmonize and sing in the second half is another point of the song.

8. Graduation Day

The pre-released song <Graduation Day> tells the story of the growth from boy to youth against the backdrop of the graduation ceremony, the last scene of boyhood. It expresses the memories of beautiful boyhood and the overwhelming hope for the future with a faint sound and a narrative and escalating melody line, evoking a sad but at the same time hopeful feeling in the hearts of listeners.
