Violinist Hyun Mi Kim, who has lived a life on strings, releases the album <INSPIRATION>, which expresses respect and reverence to the composers who have given her much inspiration in her musical life.
This album includes Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 5 "Spring," which is the most frequently performed, Sonatas No. 6 and 8, which were composed during the time when Beethoven wrote the "Heiligenstadt Testament" in the agony of hearing loss, and a suite arranged for violin and piano version of the incidental music composed by Korngold for Shakespeare's play "Much Ado About Nothing."
Violinist Hyun Mi Kim, who is a professor at Korea National University of Arts, is a founding member of Quartet 21, founded in 1991, and serves as the music director of the Korean Chamber Music Society. Recently, she formed the chamber music group "Ad Musica" with young musicians. She plans to make all of Beethoven's sonatas into albums in the future.
The album was recorded with pianist Oh Yoon-joo, with whom she has worked together many times, and conveys musical conversations.
