《 15th Anniversary of Debut, The Infinite Saga Begins Now 》
Another beginning gives birth to a new one.
Just as their group name suggests limitless potential, their journey of rewriting records is an infinite saga that only INFINITE can achieve.
In 2024, INFINITE proved their name once again with 'Infinite Gathering' held after 7 years, and the 15th-anniversary concert 'LIMITED EDITION' held for three days from December 6th to 8th at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park, living up to their respective titles 'Infinite Gathering' and 'Limited Edition'.
At the end of the concert, amid endless encores, 'Sad Loop,' a song to be included in the new album, was surprisingly unveiled along with an announcement, and a VCR hinting at a comeback at the end of the stage made even the ending feel like a new beginning. On Christmas, 'Sad Loop' was pre-released as a gift, keeping their promise, raising expectations for INFINITE's continuing saga.
Following this, INFINITE finally releases their '8 = ∞' mini-album [LIKE INFINITE], reaching the peak of expectations.
[LIKE INFINITE] is an album that is INFINITE, feels like INFINITE, and is good because it's INFINITE. It's hotter than ever, from the unavoidable warm-up intro to the uncooling instrumental tracks.
From the continuously unfolding splendid tracks to the melodies perfected by the harmony of the six members, the album's color captures the individual charms of 'Kim Sung-kyu, Jang Dong-woo, Nam Woo-hyun, Lee Sung-yeol, L, Lee Sung-jong' which have been anticipated since the concert. The members' vocals and performances, which reveal both composure and and passion, are astonishing no matter how you look at them, just like the numbers in this album.
The title track 'Dangerous,' warmed by all of this, naturally showcases INFINITE's confidence. Its refreshing vibe, enhanced with rhythmic disco-funk alongside the sexiness of previous works, is so captivating that "fatal" isn't enough to describe its dangerously attractive nature.
Furthermore, the performance meticulously crafted with choreographer ADDM, who has been with them since their debut, presents a distinct choreographic style and simultaneously delivers a fresh impact through their perfectly synchronized group dance.
The B-side tracks, each carefully selected and imbued with meaning, are also a reason to love this album.
From the intro 'Heat it Up' which expresses INFINITE's increasingly immersive sound, to 'You're All I Need' which passionately conveys sexiness and composure with delicate emotions, 'Umbrella' with lyrics reminiscent of pouring rain and INFINITE, 'Sad Loop' created from the sometimes melancholic sound of fans' cries "Come back, come back, come back again" hoping they'd return to the stage during encores, and 'Where U R (Still Beautiful)' with sounds that evoke anticipation for a concert and imagery of standing face to face again after a separation – all the songs in this album are flawlessly filled and fully showcase INFINITE.
[LIKE INFINITE] is both the 8th and the ∞th mini-album in their 15-year saga.
Every single moment is a story, and the records of those moments so far make us anticipate the next even more.
And the passion for these six men remains as hot as ever.
For INFINITE, we have only one choice.
We can't help but love INFINITE, who are like an unextinguished, continuously rising flame, so let's immerse ourselves deeply in this album with that same fervor.
