Singer KCM releases his official album 'Us' to commemorate his 20th debut anniversary.
KCM's 20th-anniversary album 'Us' is his first official album in five years, featuring a total of 12 tracks. The title track, 'I Still Have Someone I Love,' is a song for which KCM wrote the lyrics and producer Jo Yeong-su composed and gifted. Their reunion comes after 15 years; KCM, while preparing his 20th-anniversary album, specifically asked producer Jo Yeong-su, with whom he collaborated on the title track 'Black and White Photo' from his 2004 debut album, for a title song, receiving this special track as a 20th-anniversary gift.
KCM and producer Jo Yeong-su have not only worked on 'Black and White Photo' but also collaborated on title tracks for KCM's early albums, including his 2nd album 'Smile Again,' 3rd album 'Tears of the Sun,' 4th album 'Classic,' mini-album 'Far Away,' and 'Goodbye,' creating iconic ballad masterpieces representing the 2000s.
The title track of KCM's 20th-anniversary official album, 'I Still Have Someone I Love,' is a medium-tempo pop ballad infused with hip-hop rhythms, starting with a poppy electric guitar that remains true to the essence of 'KCM Ballads,' characterized by his incomparable vocal tone and unique sensibility. The lyrics, written by KCM himself, capture feelings of regret, gratitude, longing, and yearning for someone at the moment when past memories and present emotions converge. In particular, KCM's deeply emotional vocals create a subtle contrast over producer Jo Yeong-su's characteristic lyrical melody, enhancing the song's poignancy.
