World-renowned Lieder pianist Hartmut Höll and soprano Kyung-Seong Han sing about the moonlight.
Their first Lieder duo album <DER MOND: LIEDER (To the Moonlight)> on the theme of "Moon (Mond)," a solitary satellite that has contained poetry and contemplation in numerous cultures.
From the precious Lieder songs of Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms, Schubert, Fauré, Wolf, Loewe, Szymanowski, in which the mysterious and subtle existence of the moon is expressed directly and indirectly, to Yun Geuk-yeong's 'Bandal' and Park Tae-jun's 'Autumn Night,' which are the beginnings of creative children's songs that modestly contain the social landscape and sorrows of the era of Korean modernization, you can enjoy the diverse moonlight drawn by composers representing each era and culture through the omnibus-style Lieder duo album <DER MOND: LIEDER (To the Moonlight)>.
Composer and pianist, and former President of the Zurich University of the Arts, Daniel Puetter, arranged the Korean children's songs 'Bandal' and 'Autumn Night' and also participated as the liner notes writer for the album.
This album was recorded at the Tongyeong International Music Hall from October 18 to 20, 2023.
