Album Introduction
MinimaniM (MINIMANI M), a unit group of CMG Chorokbyeol's girl group Minimani (MINIMANI), is a retro vocal duet composed of Minimani's main vocalists, Han Song-i and Choi Rin. "M" stands for Mighty. Unlike Minimani's existing retro disco, hybrid trot, and performance-oriented dance trot music genres, they plan to showcase medium-tempo pop trot music to fully showcase the charms of the two vocal members. As a unit of Minimani, a team loved by many people of all ages with familiar genres of music including trot from the present to the past with a fresh and lively image, Han Song-i and Choi Rin's MinimaniM will debut on January 12, 2024 with their first song, 'My Heart Burned Black (Heartbreak)' and the B-side 'Reach for the Moon'. They hope to be remembered by fans as a team like Davichi and SeeYa in the trot scene in the future.
MinimaniM's first album title track, 'My Heart Burned Black (Heartbreak)', is a collaboration between composers PilseungbupaeW, Yuk Sang-hee, and Lee Han, who have produced numerous drama OST songs. It enhances the completeness of the song with sentimental lyrics, a sorrowful melody, sophisticated sound, and the appealing voices of MinimaniM's Han Song-i and Choi Rin, expressing the pain and longing of separation after love has passed. The B-side track, 'Reach for the Moon (To Moon)', is a semi-trot song that expresses the longing for a loved one towards the moon.
In the second half of 2021, Minimani, who appeared on MBN's global trot audition program "Hello Trot", passed the 1st and 2nd rounds in 1st place and left a strong impression on many people as a trot idol group with Minimani's unique bouncy charm and vocal skills up to the 3rd round.
Expectations are high as to whether Trot Idol MinimaniM, who can approach young people in a friendly way, will become a leader in pioneering true global K-TROT with their singing ability and performance.
