[OBON – EP RE:BORN] Album Introduction
1. Artist Name: OBON
2. Album Title: RE:BORN
3. Album One-Line Introduction
Three tracks containing the past, present, and future.
Telling the story of my rebirth, the beginning of OBON.”
4. Album Description (Overall Concept)
RE:BORN is an autobiographical EP by an artist newly started under the name OBON.
Each track symbolizes the past, present, and future,
and is not just a simple growth story, but also
a sincere confession that can touch someone's heart
and a record of emotions.
It contains the moments of collapse and
the heart that started walking again, rather than a flashy message.
Like being reborn every day,
this album tells the story of OBON's 'now'.
5. Track List and Song Description
1. O – Title Track
The emotion that lifted me up again after I collapsed,
Singing about that beginning.”
The title track ‘O’ contains the present of the artist who was reborn under the name OBON.
In the moment of standing on a new path after passing the past, the existence of ‘someone’ was ultimately at the center of that change.
With the theme of rebirth and connection in brilliant images such as starlight, rainbows, and sunsets,
it depicts the excitement and determination of a new beginning.
2. Weightlessness
“Time floating without direction,
That weightless confession.”
‘Weightlessness’ is a track that honestly unravels OBON's past, the most confusing and difficult time.
Days when I couldn't reach anywhere and flowed without knowing why.
It depicts the self drifting like weightlessness, embracing helplessness and loneliness within it.
With a dreamy atmosphere and delicate emotional lines,
it makes everyone recall the time of past wounds.
3. Illusion
“Even on a night with no end in sight,
What made me walk was illusion.”
‘Illusion’ is the future that OBON envisions,
Not completely bright,
Perhaps a more lonely tomorrow.
A heart that has supported itself with its own imagination in anxiety and loneliness.
The flow of emotions that change every moment and the sentiment of an empty dawn
are sincerely placed on a gently spreading melody.
It shows OBON's attitude of not stopping questioning 'me' until the end.
