The band Richiman and Groove Nice will release their new EP <Gumball Machine> on October 4, 2025.
This album contains 6 tracks that explore various genre combinations rooted in the blues.
The opening track 「Slap It!」 features percussion on bass and electric guitar slap rhythms, further enhanced by resonator slide guitar to create a unique sound. The title track 「Soul Sucker」 encapsulates the band's distinctive energy within a traditional electric blues style, captivating listeners with its impressive ending. 「너머너머 (Cross The Line)」, featuring Show Me the Money 7 runner-up rapper LOOPY, presents a fresh collaboration where hip-hop meets blues. Following this, 「Take Me On」 stands out with its funky groove and powerful performance, while 「새타령 (Bird Song: Korean Traditional, Blues ver.)」 reinterprets a traditional Korean folk song in a blues style, adding a special color. The final track, 「Keep On Walkin’ Down Your Road」, is a country-style blues that evokes a comfortable and lyrical atmosphere.
This album was recorded in the US and Korea. Dennis Cotton, drummer from the British blues-rock band Savoy Brown, handled mixing and mastering, and Eric Robert, pianist for Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, participated as a session musician, enhancing the album's completeness.
