Hello. This is Solar.
My second mini album [COLOURS] expresses 6 songs of different genres with my own colors.
This album aims to showcase my diverse colors, but it also carries the meaning of supporting and respecting your diversity, just as everyone has their own colors, such as their personality, tastes, and values.
I hope my message reaches many people through this album.
I've returned with a solo album after two years, and I'll repay you with great songs for the long wait. :)
Thank you!

MAMAMOO's Solar has returned with her second mini album after two years. This album, [COLOURS], contains Solar's aspiration to showcase her diverse charms through the keyword 'color (COLOUR)' across 6 songs of various genres.
Furthermore, the album title carries the meaning of encouraging the many 'us (OUR)' living in this era to find their unique colors (OURS) such as individuality, charm, identity, and values, and to create a harmonious and colorful world by respecting each other's colors.
Through this album, the artist Solar deeply embodies respect and contemplation on 'Diversity,' portraying her mature feelings and values as she sees and experiences the world.
The title track 'But I' is a blend of R&B and Rock genres, about not getting tired of those who hurt you, but getting exhilarating revenge and shaking them off. In addition, Solar will showcase her diverse colors through 6 songs of different genres, including 'Colors,' 'Empty,' 'Honey Honey,' 'Easy Peasy,' and 'Blues,' all of which convey the album's message.

01. Colors
Lyrics by Solar
Composed by Solar
Arranged by Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Seo Yong Bae (RBW)
'Colors' is a house genre song about how there are truly diverse people in the world, just like various colors. We all have different personalities and appearances. Even if we receive attention for being different from the majority, I believe it's simply a difference, not a mistake. Every person deserves respect, and we all deserve to be loved, regardless of how we appear. This song is meant to instill a lot of confidence in such individuals.
It's also a very challenging song for me, as it's the first time I've tried the Voguing dance genre.
At first, I was afraid of novelty, but thinking about the song's lyrics, I was able to overcome it quickly. I hope we all face new things confidently without fear.
02. But I
Lyrics by Solar, Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Lee Hoo Sang (RBW)
Composed by Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Lee Hoo Sang (RBW), Jenabi
Arranged by Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Lee Hoo Sang (RBW)
The title track 'But I' is a song that blends R&B and Rock genres.
It's about how flower petals might fall temporarily because of someone who hurt me, but then they bloom anew, taking exhilarating revenge.
There are many good people around me who care for me, and we are strong enough to overcome anything wonderfully.
I hope you don't get exhausted because of people who deliberately hurt you.
This is the first time I've done a title track with a band, without choreography, during my promotions. I've always yearned to challenge myself with Rock, and I've finally done it. That's why it feels even newer and like a fresh stimulus to me.
03. Empty
Lyrics by Solar
Composed by Solar
Arranged by Jin Min Ho (RBW)
'Empty' is a song I wrote when I sometimes felt sentimental and lonely. I tried to write lyrics that accept that lonely feeling as it is. It's a pop ballad that harmonizes well with the lyrics, and I performed it for my fans a few years ago as an unreleased track, but it's finally included in this album.
I feel like I receive a lot of comfort myself when singing 'Empty.' I hope fans listening to this song also receive a lot of comfort and empathy.
04. Honey Honey
Lyrics by Sun Hee (153/Joombas), Na Jung Ah (153/Joombas)
Composed by David Randolph (DRANDO), Alina Smith (LYRE), Annalise Morelli (LYRE)
Arranged by David Randolph (DRANDO), LYRE
As the title suggests, 'Honey Honey' is an R&B genre track with the most lovely and heart-fluttering lyrics in this album.
Coincidentally, I have quite a few (?) songs related to honey. Sweet songs like honey seem to suit me well, haha.
I hope you have a day full of Solar and full of love today, listening to the tangy, sweet, yet sticky 'Honey Honey.' :)
05. Easy Peasy
Lyrics by Solar
Composed by Solar
Arranged by Choi Yong Chan (lunCHbox)
'Easy Peasy' is a folk song that contains a message for many people tired of the world.
There's a proverb, 'easy as pie,' right? In the intro, I used that proverb ironically to playfully express that even though today was very difficult, I managed to do it easily as if it were nothing.
I wanted to offer quiet comfort, though not extravagant words, to the many who endure each day with difficulty, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
06. Blues
Lyrics by Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Solar
Composed by Kim Do Hoon (RBW), Solar
Arranged by Kim Do Hoon (RBW)
The long-awaited sixth and final track! 'Blues' is, as the title suggests, a blues genre song that shows the color of who I am.
It's not a popular style these days, but both the lyrics and the music felt like they truly showcased 'Solar' and 'Kim Yong Sun' (Solar's real name).
I think it might be the most 'me' and charismatic song on this album.
