Cellist Sung-Won Yang is back with a new album [Echoes of Romance]. This new album, his 9th released on the Decca label, contains works that allow you to read the intense artistic collaboration of Schumann, Clara Schumann, and Brahms, raising expectations. Conducted by Hans Graf, the London Symphony Orchestra, pianist Emmanuel Strosser, and clarinetist Han Kim participated, and it was recorded in London and Paris.
Yang Sung-Won dedicated this album to the legendary cellist and his teacher, Janos Starker. Yang Sung-Won said, "When the teacher said goodbye to me, he said, 'Keep Carrying the torch.' This has consistently been a milestone in my life."
Robert Schumann's masterpiece 'Cello Concerto', his wife and excellent pianist Clara Schumann's 'Romance' can be found in the cello version, and Brahms' 'Clarinet Trio', who was a close friend of the two, is included in a total of 10 tracks.
