Gayageum player Yoon Do-hee, releases her first album
“The depth and emotion of tradition, featuring Seong Geum-yeon Ryu Gayageum Sanjo Full Set”
This album features Yoon Do-hee's recording of the Gayageum Sanjo Seong Geum-yeon Ryu Full Set, containing a total of 70 minutes of performance. The album includes all movements of the Sanjo, from Daseureum to Jinyangjo, Jungmori, Jungjungmori, Gutgeori, Jajinmori, Hwimori, and Eotmori.
This album holds special significance as it commemorates a precious 14-year journey with Ji Seong-ja, a holder of Intangible Cultural Property No. 40 of Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla Province), Gayageum Sanjo. Ji Seong-ja provided the drum accompaniment, and the two's long-standing relationship and trust are fully reflected in the recording. Through this album, Yoon Do-hee aims to convey the deep timbre and melodic charm of Gayageum Sanjo.
Seong Geum-yeon Ryu Gayageum Sanjo is an important school of Gayageum Sanjo, well-known for its powerful and reverent Daseureum, Jinyangjo expressing various Gyemyeonjo, and flavorful Gutgeori melodies. Seong Geum-yeon Ryu Sanjo has been designated as the first Intangible Cultural Property in 1968 and has been passed down and loved to this day.

Yoon Do-hee has completed the course of Intangible Cultural Property No. 40 of Jeollabuk-do (North Jeolla Province), Gayageum Sanjo, and holds Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees in Music from Seoul National University. She is also a member of the Gayageum Ensemble Saye, and is dedicated to nurturing future generations at the National Gugak High School, Seoul National University of Education's Music Gifted Education Center, and Chugye University for the Arts.
