All 11 tracks on the album are Youn Sun Nah's original compositions, created by drawing inspiration from images, building harmonies and melodies, and then working on the lyrics.

Reflecting her unique color throughout the entire process, 'Waking World' allows listeners to experience Youn Sun Nah's music more intimately and accurately than any previous album.

This album features collaborations with world-renowned musicians Xavier Tribolet (keyboards) and Thomas Naïm (guitar),

and once again reunites with Airelle Besson (trumpet) and Laurent Vernerey (bass).
