■ Product Description
Yun Eun-hwa's 2nd full-length album <Fe>
Yun Eun-hwa's 2nd full-length album is a collection of works made with instruments using iron as the main material.
The songs were created based on various inspirations received from nature such as rain, wind, and forests, and used instruments such as Yanggeum, Unra, Handpan, and Udu drum.
This album consists of works that show various attempts so that Yanggeum can be used more as a solo instrument.
Yun Eun-hwa is a Yanggeum player, Yanggeum maker, composer, and educator.
She is training many students with the Yanggeum that she has improved under her own name.
In addition, as the only electronic Yanggeum in Korea, she aims for balance and harmony between Korean traditional music and modern music with looping techniques, and continues to contribute to promoting Yanggeum not only in Korea but also around the world.
1. Brown Summer
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum: Yun Eun-hwa
Global warming. Polarization of weather.
It contains the feelings of depression and loss that I felt on the past summer days filled with 'rain'.
The first half maximizes the percussive rhythm of the Yanggeum, and the middle part is a lyrical expression of the feelings of depression and loss.
2. Dance of the chieftains
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum, Glockenspiel, Percussion: Yun Eun-hwa
This song was inspired by seeing the chiefs leading their tribesmen and encouraging each other to live well. Looping techniques are used to gradually build up layers by using not only the strings of the Yanggeum, but also Panchigi, bowing with a bow, percussion, and Glockenspiel.
3. Silk Road
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum: Yun Eun-hwa
This song expresses the feeling of all things happening on the Silk Road, an ancient trade route that crosses Asia.
The muted technique of Yanggeum and the rhythmic part of the tremolo are maximized.
4. Aurora
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum, Unra: Yun Eun-hwa
This song is for Yanggeum and Unra, and it was created so that you can play Yanggeum with one hand and Unra with the other. This song expresses the conversation between metal instruments using the 'charchal' sound of traditional Yanggeum and Unra, which has the same iron properties.
5. Play of fog
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa Arranged by: Yun Eun-hwa, Jo Hyun
Yanggeum, Udu drum: Yun Eun-hwa, Handpan: Jo Hyun
This song uses Yanggeum and Handpan to express the feeling of walking in the fog. It is a song that gives the feeling of Yanggeum and Handpan talking to each other in the hazy fog.
6. Muhee
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum, Jing: Yun Eun-hwa
This song embodies dancing. It is a song that gives the feeling of dancing on the rhythm by using the Gutgeori introduction rhythm and the 6-chae rhythm. The shamanistic feeling given by the Jing, the heavy bass, and the Yanggeum dancing on it are embodied.
7. Moden Yanggeum Sanjo
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum: Yun Eun-hwa
This is a Sanjo shown with a modified Yanggeum. It is a Sanjo composed of Jinyangjo rhythm, Jungmori rhythm, Jungjungmori rhythm, Jajinmori, Danmori, and Hwimori. It delivers a rich Sanjo by using the wide range that only a modified Yanggeum with a wide range can show. Fast and rhythmic, splendid performances make Sanjo even more splendid.
8. Fe
Composed by: Yun Eun-hwa
Yanggeum, Percussion: Yun Eun-hwa
Fe, the element symbol for iron, also symbolizes the iron strings of the Yanggeum. This song was motivated by the melody of Jeongak, and the heavy percussion supports it from behind, giving the feeling of a king's procession.
